Area Cleaning Supervisor
Job Purpose:
To implement, monitor and control building cleaning operations to ensure that the client’s requirements are achieved. Supporting the Area Managers in the day to day operations of the business functionality.
Experience Requirements:
Substantial practical experience in the cleaning industry is essential with sound experience in a site supervisory role.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- To design and implement cleaning operations, ensuring the optimum use and control
of labour and materials.
- To organise and supervise cleaning operatives/supervisors, to ensure working
practices are efficient and effective.
- To develop and maintain a good standard of employee relations and motivate
employees to ensure a high level of morale.
- To carry out quality monitoring checks, in line with company procedures, taking the
necessary corrective action to rectify any shortfalls identified.
- To recruit, train and develop employees, developing an efficient and effective
workforce that is competent in the use of cleaning agents and machinery.
- To ensure employees are aware of what is expected of them, in terms of workloads,
standards and their relationship with client/contractor.
- To carry out operative duties/cover/deep cleans as necessary to ensure tasks are
completed in accordance with specifications.
- To exercise grievance and disciplinary procedures, as necessary, in line with the
company manual and the Human Resources department.
- To ensure all working practices comply with the requirements of the Health & Safety
at work Act (1974).
- To ensure compliance with the company’s manuals and procedures relating to the
conduct of the business.
- To deliver a quality service, ensuring that the customer/client’s requirements (and
perceived requirements) are achieved.
- The carrying out of specialist cleaning operations, such as floor maintenance and
carpet shampooing, window cleaning etc.
- Implement and control emergency cleaning operations.
Additional requirements:
- Full UK driving licence for sites that are slightly further out of the London area due to portfolio growth.
This is not a full definition of duties and staff will be expected to perform such other duties as may be necessary from time to time, to ensure the growth and profitability of the Company.

Pay: £33,000.00 per year
