Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and hardworking Builder to join our construction team.
The ideal candidate will be confident in a variety of building tasks, capable of interpreting technical plans, and dedicated to delivering a high-quality finish on every project.
You will work across multiple sites in and around Nottingham, supporting new builds, refurbishments, and extensions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general building and structural work, including bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete tasks.
- Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and site specifications accurately.
- Prepare and mix materials, load and unload supplies, and maintain site organisation.
- Install walls, partitions, floors, and foundations according to safety and quality standards.
- Assist with groundwork, roofing, and finishing activities when required.
- Collaborate effectively with other trades such as plumbers, electricians, and site supervisors.
- Identify and report any site or safety concerns to management promptly.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are properly used, cleaned, and stored.
- Work to tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality workmanship and professionalism on site.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in building, construction, or related trades.
- Trade skills equivalent to NVQ Level 2 or 3 (formal qualification or proven experience accepted).
- Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and site safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a multi-trade team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to work flexibly depending on project needs.
