Duties
- Safely operate your own vehicle to complete multiple deliveries across Derby and surrounding areas
- Load and unload parcels, ensuring items are handled with care
- Plan efficient routes to maximize delivery times and customer satisfaction
- Communicate clearly with customers upon delivery, providing excellent service and updates as needed
- Maintain accurate delivery records and logs for each shift
- Conduct routine vehicle checks to ensure safety and compliance with road regulations
- Follow all traffic laws and health & safety guidelines throughout your deliveries
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or van driver, preferably in multi-drop or commercial driving roles
- Valid driving license suitable for operating a van or light commercial vehicle
- Experience working in warehouse environments or handling heavy lifting tasks
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Knowledge of Derby's streets and delivery routes is advantageous
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently in a self-employed capacity
