Evans of Alresford is a proud, traditional butcher shop dedicated to serving our local community with the finest quality, locally sourced meats. We specialise in high-welfare, beautifully prepared cuts, handcrafted sausages, and outstanding customer service.We are currently looking for a fully trained, experienced Butcher to join our skilled team. If you take genuine pride in your trade, have excellent knife skills, and enjoy interacting with customers, you will fit right in.The RoleAs an integral part of our small, passionate team, you will handle all aspects of high-end retail butchery. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Precision boning, rolling, seaming, and tying to a high retail standard.
- Crafting our popular value-added products, burgers, and artisan sausages.
- Merchandising and managing the counter display to ensure it always looks immaculate.
- Welcoming customers, offering expert advice on cuts, and sharing cooking recommendations.
- Maintaining impeccable hygiene and high food safety standards.
What We Are Looking For
- Qualifications: Fully trained butcher with preferred experience in the retail butchery environment.
- Skills: Strong knife skills, a deep understanding of meat cuts, and accurate portion control.
- Approach: Friendly, reliable, and comfortable chatting with a discerning local clientele.
- Standards: A clean worker who takes pride in maintaining strict food safety regulations (HACCP).
