This is a Self Employed Ad Hoc Position
We are looking to build a large specialised team for property searches in probate cases that requires the following:
Ideal Candidate Profile
Position would suit ex-Services and Police candidates with an understanding of searching cluttered environments without disturbing the integrity of the property.
Ability to distinguish between mail and items that may have a legal significance document recovery focusing on Wills, Codicils, Title Deeds, and investment/bank statements and life insurance policies.
Identifying jewellery, cash, antiques, and high-value electronics for secure transport.
High integrity and physical stamina required, especially in cases of "hoarder" properties or neglected estates.
Must be self-employed and comfortable with ad-hoc, area-specific call-outs.
Reporting to office management after each visit, taking photos of the property and logging all items removed.
Standard DBS and enrolled on the update service is a must and as well as signing a non-disclosure agreement for probate work.
The candidate must remember they are often the first "outsiders" to enter a home after a death.
Discussing findings only with the office, never with neighbours or unauthorised family members.
Ensuring the property is secured and left in a respectful state after the search is concluded.
Remuneration is on a case-by-case basis.
Due to the ad-hoc nature of this work, most weeks you will not be called out.
Please note that, as this is a self-employed role, the candidate is responsible for obtaining their own DBS check and ensuring they are registered with the DBS Update Service.
Pay: £145.00 per day
