More than a funeral service – we're here when people need us most
What if your next role gave you the opportunity to make a real difference during one of life's most important moments?
At Lincolnshire Co-op, our Funeral Services are about far more than arranging funerals.
We're here to provide compassionate, professional care and support to families when they need it most. Every interaction is an opportunity to offer comfort, dignity and reassurance, helping people through one of the most difficult times in their lives.
As a Funeral Operative, you'll play a vital role behind the scenes and alongside our Funeral Directors, ensuring every person in our care is treated with the utmost respect while supporting families with kindness, professionalism and compassion.
A role where no two days are the same
Every day brings something different.
You could be carefully preparing someone for their final farewell, supporting a funeral service, driving one of our funeral vehicles, assisting with removals, or helping ensure every detail has been thoughtfully arranged. While much of the role happens behind the scenes, everything you do has a lasting impact on the families we support.
This is a role for someone who takes pride in doing things the right way, works with sensitivity and remains calm and professional in emotionally challenging situations.
What you'll be doing
As a Funeral Operative, you'll:
- Provide compassionate, respectful care for those entrusted to us throughout every stage of the funeral journey.
- Support removals, preparations and funeral services with dignity, professionalism and attention to detail.
- Drive and care for our funeral vehicles, ensuring safe, reliable and respectful transport.
- Prepare coffins, equipment and vehicles to the highest standards.
- Work closely with Funeral Directors, colleagues and external organisations to deliver seamless funeral services.
