Summary
Ringway is seeking a reliable and motivated Gully Driver / Operative to join our team. This is a hands-on role involving both driving and operational duties, supporting essential highway drainage maintenance.
You will play a key part in ensuring road networks remain safe and free from flooding by carrying out planned and reactive gully cleansing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving a HGV gully tanker to sites across the network
- Operating jetting equipment to clean and clear highway gullies, drains, and drainage systems
- Using suction hoses and high-pressure water jets to remove debris, silt, and blockages
- Carrying out basic vehicle and equipment checks
- Working as part of a team while maintaining high safety standards
Requirements
- HGV Licence (essential)
- Driver CPC (essential)
- Chapter 8 accreditation/experience (desirable)
- Experience in jetting or drainage operations (desirable)
- Willingness to learn – full training will be provided on operating equipment
- Strong work ethic and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Good communication and teamwork skills
