Heartbreak Hotel Coffee is a local independent café known for quality, consistency, and a proper hospitality culture. We serve specialty coffee and fresh bakes made daily at our bakery in Chivenor. We keep things simple, intentional, and never wasteful — everything we do is rooted in care and craft.
We open every day from 7:30–2 and require someone who can work either Saturday or Sunday . We offer in‑house training, a fun working environment, coffee and food on shift, and staff discounts.
Duties
- Prepare coffee drinks with precision, consistency, and attention to detail
- Engage warmly with customers, taking orders accurately and delivering excellent service
- Maintain cleanliness across work areas, food prep stations, and counters
- Follow food safety standards diligently to ensure quality and hygiene
- Assist with stock rotation, ensuring ingredients remain fresh and available
- Support the team during busy periods by managing time effectively and prioritising tasks
Experience
- Previous barista experience preferred or an interest in coffee
- Knowledge of food safety practices preffered
- Ability to perform food preparation tasks with care and accuracy
- Strong time‑management skills for handling multiple orders during peak hours
- Excellent communication skills to engage with customers positively and professionally
