We are a growing renewable energy company working on solar PV, battery storage, EV chargers, and general electrical installations.
We are looking for a qualified electrician to join us on a part-time basis, with the opportunity to become full-time in the future as the company grows.
About the Role
This role is suitable for a qualified UK electrician with good practical experience who wants to develop further in the renewable energy industry.
The work will include:
- Solar PV installations
- EV charger installations
- Battery storage systems
- Fuse boards and consumer units
- Distribution boards and isolators
- Cabling and containment
- Testing, inspection, and certification
- General domestic and commercial electrical work
Solar PV training can be provided, and we may also support with an NVQ course where suitable.
Main Duties
- Carry out electrical installations on domestic and commercial sites
- Install and upgrade fuse boards, consumer units, isolators, RCBOs, RCDs, SPDs, and breakers
- Assist with solar PV installations, including panels, inverters, batteries, isolators, and cabling
- Assist with EV charger installations, including single-phase and three-phase chargers
- Carry out containment, SWA cabling, trunking, conduit, and general wiring
- Carry out testing, inspection, EICRs, and certification where qualified
- Fault-find and carry out repairs where required
- Work safely in line with current UK electrical regulations
- Keep basic records of work completed, materials used, and test results
Requirements
- Must be a qualified electrician
- 18th Edition required
- Good electrical installation experience
- Full UK driving licence and own car required
- Good understanding of single-phase and three-phase systems
- Confident with fuse boards, isolators, consumer units, and circuit protection
- Able to use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
- Reliable, organised, and willing to travel to different sites
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent
- ECS/JIB card
- 2391 Inspection and Testing
- Solar PV experience
- EV charger installation experience
- Battery storage experience
- MCS knowledge or experience
