Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and reliable Night Class 1 Driver to join our Banbury-based transport operation.
The Role
Working Monday to Friday nights, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of transport duties including container collections from inland depots, trailer movements between customer and depot locations, and local deliveries and collections.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 1 driver looking for a stable, long-term position within a professional and growing logistics business.
Key Responsibilities
- Collecting and returning containers from inland depots.
- Carrying out local and regional deliveries and collections.
- Completing trailer swaps and transport movements as required.
- Ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed safely and efficiently.
- Conducting daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
- Operating PDA and transport management systems as required.
- Maintaining accurate records in line with company procedures and legal requirements.
- Adhering to all Drivers' Hours, Working Time and Road Transport legislation.
- Providing a professional and courteous service to customers at all times.
- Maintaining high standards of vehicle cleanliness and presentation.
What We're Looking ForEssential
- Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence and Driver CPC.
- Good understanding of Drivers' Hours, Working Time and Road Transport regulations.
- Professional, reliable and safety-conscious approach.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during night operations.
Desirable
- Previous container transport experience.
- Experience working night shifts.
- Knowledge of inland container depots and port operations.
