Duties
- Deliver comprehensive patient care, including monitoring vital signs and assessing patient needs
- Administer prescribed medications accurately and safely, adhering to hospital protocols
- Assist with medical procedures and support doctors and other healthcare professionals during examinations and treatments
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with legal and organisational standards
- Educate patients and their families about health management, medication routines, and post-discharge care
- Ensure infection control procedures are strictly followed to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
- Respond promptly to patient calls or emergencies, providing reassurance and appropriate intervention as required
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalised care plans
Experience
- Proven experience as a Registered General Nurse within a clinical or hospital setting
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and common medical conditions
- Demonstrated competence in medication administration and patient assessment
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide compassionate support to patients and their families
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, maintaining professionalism at all times
- Relevant registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or equivalent professional body
