Bank House in Hathersage is looking for a friendly, confident and experienced Front of House Supervisor to join our growing team.

As a Front of House Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the restaurant. You’ll lead the team during service, ensure our guests receive consistently excellent hospitality, and work closely with the management, kitchen and bar teams to keep everything running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
- Leading and supporting the Front of House team throughout service
- Setting the standard for friendly, professional and genuine hospitality
- Welcoming guests and ensuring they receive a warm and consistent experience from arrival to departure
- Taking responsibility for the smooth running of shifts
- Briefing the team before service and communicating key information, bookings, specials and service priorities
- Delegating tasks effectively and ensuring the team remains organised during busy periods
- Monitoring service standards and stepping in to support the team when required
- Taking food and drink orders and ensuring they are communicated accurately
- Maintaining strong knowledge of our food and drinks menus and confidently making recommendations to guests
- Handling guest feedback and resolving issues calmly, professionally and positively
- Working closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth communication and efficient service
- Monitoring cleanliness, presentation and organisation across the front-of-house areas
- Ensuring company procedures, food safety, licensing and health and safety standards are followed
- Supporting opening and closing procedures
- Monitoring stock levels and communicating any requirements to the management team
- Supporting with cash handling and end-of-shift procedures where required
- Helping to train, coach and develop new and existing team members
- Leading by example and creating a positive, supportive working environment
- Supporting the management team with the day-to-day operation of the business

About You
We’re looking for someone who is confident, approachable and naturally enjoys leading a team.
You’ll ideally have previous experience in a supervisory or senior FOH role, with a strong understanding of what great hospitality looks like. Most importantly, you’ll be someone who leads by example and isn’t afraid to get stuck in.
You’ll have:
- Previous experience in a hospitality supervisory or senior FOH position
- A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering excellent customer service
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- The confidence to lead a team during busy and challenging services
- A positive, calm and professional approach under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail and high standards of presentation
- The ability to delegate effectively and keep a team motivated
- Confidence dealing with guest feedback and resolving issues
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- A good understanding of food, drink and hospitality operations
- The ability to work closely with kitchen, bar and management teams
- A willingness to support and develop less experienced team members
- A reliable, hardworking and flexible approach
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and during busy periods

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 48.0 per week
