Duties:
- Perform MOT tests on vehicles to ensure they meet safety and environmental standards
- Inspect vehicle components, including brakes, tires, lights, and emissions systems
- Identify and document any defects or issues found during the inspection
- Advise on necessary repairs or maintenance to pass the MOT test
- Conduct retests after repairs have been made to ensure compliance with regulations
- Keep accurate records of all tests conducted and results obtained
Experience:
- Previous experience as an MOT Tester or in a similar automotive role is required
- Strong knowledge of auto body repair and mechanics
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify potential safety hazards
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues
