The business are supplying high-precision components to the automotive, motorsport, aerospace and defence sectors. Due to continued growth and investment, they're looking to add a skilled CNC Machinist to their team.
Working on advanced 5-axis machining, you'll be responsible for setting, operating and optimising machining processes to produce complex, high-precision components to the highest quality standards.
The Role
- Set and operate 5-axis CNC machining centres
- Machine complex prototype and low-volume components
- Prove out new parts and support process improvements
- Work closely with the CAM programming team to optimise tooling and machining strategies
- Carry out in-process inspection using a range of measuring equipment
- Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues to maximise efficiency
About You
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist within a precision engineering environment
- Strong experience with 4 or 5-axis machining
- Knowledge of Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controls (would be ideal)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Experience inspecting components to tight tolerances
- A proactive approach with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement
