Job title: F&B Supervisor
Main purpose of job:
Greeting visitors, offer restaurant menus, answering questions about the menus, process food and drinks orders, carries food and drinks from the kitchen to the bar and table, prepares bills and processes payments, cleaning, and restocking.
Position reports to: F&B Manager
Location: The Kings Arms and The Crown Inn Hotels, Old Amersham, Buckinghamshire.
Shift pattern: Monday–Sunday between the hours of 7am-11pm Occasional late bar until 2am
Main tasks of job:
- Welcome customers when they arrive.
- Introduce customers to the menu and announce daily or seasonal specials.
- Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and pricing.
- Take customers’ orders for food and drink.
- Pass food orders to the kitchen for preparations.
- Prepare drinks and serve them to guests.
- Topping up buffet areas.
- Collect food orders from the kitchen, verify they are correct and serve them to customers.
- Prepare bills and process payments.
- Staying attentive to the needs of the guests in the dining areas.
- Following health and safety code standards with regards to food handling.
- Clearing and cleaning duties
- Follow functions sheets to meet the requirements of guests
- To follow the companies policies and procedures
Additional Supervisor duties:
- Assisting with the stock take.
- Assisting with staff training.
- Conducting regular inspections to determine whether proper hygiene standards are met.
- Covering duty manager shifts.
- Assisting in monthly health and safety checks.
- Deputise for the F&B Manager as required
- Ongoing and developing skills for the front of house team.
- Ensure staff are following the company’s policies and procedures
- Ensure cash ups balance and are correct
- Lead the team with events such as wakes and parties in the restaurant and bar areas
Pay: £13.45 per hour
