WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE required for a busy warehouse and yard in North Glasgow. Working together with the Operations Manager, we are looking for a physically fit individual to handle manual lifting of heavy goods as part of the day to day picking, selecting, palletising and storing goods in the warehouse.
Skills and experience
· Previous warehouse / yard experience
· Manual handling / heavy lifting experience essential
· Previous order picking experience essential
· Must be physically fit and able to lift and move heavy loads
· Forklift counterbalance / reach truck experience preferred
· Flexibility on working hours during peak periods
REMUNERATION
· Hourly rate £13.50 per hour paid weekly.
· 6 month probationary period.
· Permanent full time position.
· Monday to Friday 8.00am – 4.00pm with half hour unpaid lunch break.
· Some overtime may be needed during peak periods, paid at time and a half.
· Holidays: 20 days holiday plus 8 statutory holidays for the first year, rising to a maximum of 25 days plus statutory entitlement.
