The Aesthetic Therapist is responsible for delivering safe, effective and high-quality non-surgical aesthetic treatments while providing an exceptional patient experience. Working within Kaizen Medical's clinical governance framework, the therapist will ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with clinic protocols, infection prevention standards, manufacturer guidance and relevant regulatory requirements.
The role requires excellent technical ability, outstanding customer service and a commitment to continuous professional development.
Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care
- Deliver aesthetic treatments safely and competently within scope of practice.
- Conduct comprehensive consultations and skin assessments.
- Develop personalised treatment plans based on clinical assessment.
- Explain treatment options, expected outcomes, risks and aftercare.
- Obtain valid informed consent before treatment.
- Monitor patient wellbeing throughout treatments.
- Recognise contraindications and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Provide detailed aftercare advice and arrange follow-up appointments.
Treatments
Competently perform treatments (subject to training and competency sign-off), including:
- Medical-grade facials
- Hydrafacial
- Chemical peels
- Microneedling
- Skin rejuvenation treatments
- LED light therapy
- Dermaplaning
- Laser hair removal
- IPL treatments
- Skin tightening treatments
- Other treatments introduced by Kaizen Medical following training
Therapists must only perform procedures they have been trained, assessed and authorised to undertake.
Clinical Governance
- Maintain accurate electronic patient records.
- Complete consultation and consent documentation.
- Record treatment parameters accurately.
- Report incidents, complaints and near misses.
- Participate in clinical audits.
- Support CQC compliance where applicable.
- Follow all clinic SOPs and policies.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with GDPR.
Infection Prevention & Control
- Adhere to infection prevention and control procedures.
- Clean and disinfect treatment rooms between patients.
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules.
- Ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated.
- Dispose of clinical waste correctly.
- Maintain treatment room stock and cleanliness.
Patient Experience
- Deliver exceptional customer service at every stage of the patient journey.

Person SpecificationEssentialQualifications
- NVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy (or equivalent)
- Relevant laser qualification (where applicable)
- Hydrafacial certification (or willingness to obtain)
Experience
- Minimum 2 years aesthetic therapy experience
- Experience working within a medical aesthetics clinic is desirable but not essential.
- Strong consultation skills

Pay: £24,784.00-£56,744.78 per year
