Overview
Our partner are seeking a dedicated and energetic Senior Residential Young Persons Care Worker to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will lead the delivery of high-quality care and support to young individuals in a residential setting, fostering a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment. Your leadership will ensure that each young person’s unique needs are met through tailored care plans, effective supervision, and compassionate communication. Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of care workers to deliver consistent, person-centered care tailored to each young person’s needs
- Develop, implement, and review individualized care plans in collaboration with young people, their families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff, promoting best practices in residential care and safeguarding procedures
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents by maintaining a secure environment and adhering to health and safety regulations
- Facilitate engaging activities that promote personal development, independence, and social skills among young residents
- Maintain accurate documentation of care activities, incidents, and progress reports using IT systems efficiently
- Drive continuous improvement by participating in team meetings, training sessions, and quality assurance processes
Skills
- Proven experience in senior care or supervisory roles within a care home or residential setting for young people
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and supervise staff effectively
- Excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with young people, families, colleagues, and external agencies
- Ability to develop comprehensive care plans that reflect individual needs and aspirations
- Valid driving license to facilitate transportation needs for outings or appointments as required
- Proficiency in using IT systems for record-keeping, reporting, and communication purposes
- Knowledge of safeguarding policies, health & safety regulations, and best practices in residential youth care

Pay: £25,420.00-£27,000.00 per year
