NOW Education is proud to be working in partnership with a highly respected specialist school in Moseley to recruit an experienced and dedicated Teacher for their secondary provision from September 2026.
We are seeking an exceptional practitioner who is passionate about supporting students with complex learning needs and committed to delivering outstanding educational outcomes. Applications are welcomed from both Primary-trained and Secondary-trained teachers, provided candidates have substantial experience working within a special school environment.
This role involves teaching students with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and significant Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC). The school has high expectations of both pupils and staff and is looking for a teacher who can contribute positively to a culture of ambition, inclusion and excellence.
The Role
As a class teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, personalised and highly differentiated learning opportunities that enable students to achieve their full potential.
Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, families and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment where students can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
The successful candidate will be expected to undertake the full responsibilities of a classroom teacher, including planning, assessment, preparation, annual reviews, meetings and wider school commitments.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Primary or Secondary trained teachers are welcome to apply
- Minimum of two years' experience teaching within a special school setting
- Significant experience supporting pupils with SLD, PMLD and Autism
- Strong understanding of personalised learning, communication strategies and sensory approaches
- Ability to plan and deliver highly differentiated lessons that meet a wide range of needs
- Commitment to high expectations and achieving positive outcomes for every learner
- Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills
- Passion for inclusive education and specialist teaching

Pay: £38,490.00-£56,622.00 per year
