The Opportunity
We are looking to recruit a part time Spa Therapist for a minimum of 16 hours per week. There will be more hours during busy periods and you will be required to provide cover for absence, holidays and sickness. As you would expect this will include occasional late finishes of 7:15pm to accommodate our hotel guests who may require a treatment after work and will include weekends and bank holidays.
The Spa Therapist will be responsible for carrying out treatments and therapies for our hotel guests, members and local residents, ensuring a professional and calm experience is delivered every time. You will need to be able to deliver exceptional treatments including manicures, pedicures, facials, body treatments and waxing. You will be committed to ensuring all aspects of the guest spa experience are adhered to, from greeting the guest to completing treatments and ensuring all aspects of the spa packages are delivered to time in coordination with the leisure team.
Main duties and responsibilities
· Perform a range of Spa treatments to our hotel guests, leisure club members and local residents to a high standard
· Promote the Spa and our services along with retailing products and upselling treatments
· Confidently respond to email/telephone enquiries promptly, take bookings, take payments
· Build a regular client base
· Ensure all health and safety standards are upheld at all times and the Spa area is clean, hygienic and presentable. Implement and follow cleaning schedules in accordance with Company standards and Health and Safety regulations
Essential skills and experience required
· NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Beauty Therapy
· Previous experience in a Spa (at least 1 years preferred)
· Experience of upselling therapies and products
