Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full Time Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily operations within a vibrant hospitality environment, ensuring exceptional service and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, a passion for food and beverage service, and previous experience in supervising or managing within a restaurant, hotel, or similar setting.
Duties
- Assist in the day-to-day management of the establishment, ensuring smooth operations across all departments
- Supervise and support staff including front of house and bar staff to deliver outstanding customer service
- Oversee bar and cellar organisation and standards
- Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards and regulations
- Coordinate with kitchen staff on food production, presentation, and quality control
- Manage reservations, assist with rota organisation, and optimise labour resources
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the premises
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction
- Support training programmes for new staff members in service procedures and health & safety protocols
- Assist with stock control, ordering supplies, and managing inventory levels
Skills
- Proven supervisory or team management experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
- Experience in restaurant, pub or bar management is highly desirable
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and customers
- Knowledge of hospitality operations including restaurant experience or hotel experience is advantageous
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on delivering excellent customer service
