Job Overview
We are looking for passionate and experienced Level 3 Nursery Practitioners to join our friendly and supportive team at Serpentine Nursery School. You will play a key role in providing high-quality care and early years education, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
1 person - 5 mornings 9am-1.30pm
1 person - 5 afternoons 12pm-5pm
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging educational activities suited to children’s individual needs and interests.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages children’s independence and confidence.
- Observe, assess, and record children’s progress, sharing insights with parents and colleagues as appropriate.
- Support children’s emotional wellbeing by providing comfort, reassurance, and guidance during daily routines.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth running of the nursery operations.
- Maintain accurate records of development milestones, and safeguarding documentation.
- Promote positive behaviour management strategies in accordance with nursery policies.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training sessions to enhance childcare skills and knowledge.
- Build strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Level 3 Childcare Qualification or equivalent recognised early childhood education certification.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.
- Proven experience working in a nursery or childcare setting with young children.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills both verbal and written, to liaise confidently with parents and team members.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with children, showing patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for early years education.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies.
Pay: £16,523.00-£26,437.00 per year
