Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Front of House Staff to join our expanding team! This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while ensuring that all operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for a candidate to work around 30-40h hours a week spread over 5 days. Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
Duties
- Greet and assist customers as they enter the establishment, ensuring a warm and friendly welcome.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, demonstrating good knowledge of the menu.
- Help with food preparation tasks as needed, adhering to food safety standards at all times.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records using basic maths skills.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, counters, and dining spaces.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and efficient service delivery.
- Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally to enhance their dining experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role is preferred but not essential.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices is highly desirable.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and order processing.
- Excellent time-management skills whilst under pressure.
- A team player with a positive attitude who enjoys helping others.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Ability to work independantly and as part of a team.
