Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Factory Cleaner to maintain a clean and safe working environment within our manufacturing facility. This role involves performing general cleaning duties across the factory premises, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine cleaning of factory floors, machinery, and workstations using appropriate cleaning tools and equipment
- Utilise hand tools and power tools for cleaning and minor maintenance tasks where necessary
- Assist in the disposal of waste materials in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of communal areas such as changing rooms, break areas, and restrooms
- Support the organisation of storage areas to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
- Assist with general gardening and yard maintenance
Qualifications
- Previous experience in cleaning or a related role within an industrial or construction environment is desirable but not essential
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance tasks is advantageous
- Construction experience or knowledge of industrial cleaning standards is a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to strict safety protocols
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
