Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Coffee Shop Barista to join our vibrant team at Ori Caffe within the John Lewis Store Centre MK. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and process payments efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, including cleaning equipment and sanitising surfaces in accordance with food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when required.
- Manage multiple orders during busy periods while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Restock supplies as needed, including cups, lids, condiments, and ingredients.
- Uphold health and safety regulations related to food safety and hygiene at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar serving role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to perform basic maths accurately for handling transactions.
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour to enhance customer experience.
- Capable of working efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Organised with attention to detail to ensure consistency in beverage quality and cleanliness standards. Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
