About the Role
Due to continued growth and increasing demand from national and regional housebuilders, we are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our expanding Housing Division.
This is an opportunity to become part of a specialist team delivering piling and precast foundation solutions on residential developments throughout the UK. We are looking for someone who enjoys developing client relationships as much as producing competitive estimates and who wants to play a key role in the continued growth of our business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator to join a rapidly expanding business and have a direct influence on strategy, clients and work-winning. We are particularly interested in people who have experience in piling, ground engineering or estimating/working with national housebuilders.
We are open to hybrid working arrangements and, for the right candidate, fully remote/home-based working will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Review tender enquiries, drawings, specifications, and geotechnical information.
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for piling and foundation solutions within the residential housing sector.
- Liaise with clients, developers, consultants, and internal technical teams to develop value-engineered solutions.
- Assess project risks, opportunities, and commercial requirements.
- Prepare tender submissions and supporting documentation within specified deadlines.
- Attend pre-tender, client, and internal meetings as required.
- Maintain and develop strong working relationships with our clients.
- Build and maintain relationships with regional and national housebuilders.
- Ensure all estimates comply with company procedures, technical requirements, and commercial objectives.
About You
We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded individual with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
Essential Requirements
- Previous estimating experience within piling, foundations, ground engineering, geotechnical, civil engineering, or construction sectors.
- Strong understanding of residential housing developments and foundation solutions.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Commercial awareness and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
