We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Rothercare Response Officer who is committed to delivering inclusive, strength‑based support that promotes independence and wellbeing.

About the Role
This is a rewarding, fast‑paced and varied role, where no two shifts are the same. You will:

Be a calm voice at critical moments
Responding to calls and alerts from vulnerable adults via our control centre systems, listening carefully, assessing risk, and deciding on the appropriate response.
- Provide reassurance in person, when required, attending customers’ homes as a Mobile Responder to check on their wellbeing and offer practical support — for example following a fall or medical alert.
You will receive full training, enabling you to confidently deliver all aspects of this essential service.
Working Pattern
The service operates around the clock, and you will work a 3‑shift rota:
Day: 6:00am – 1:00pm- Afternoon: 1:00pm – 8:00pm
- Night: 8:00pm – 6:00am.
This includes some weekends and bank holidays, reflecting the continuous nature of the service.
About You
You will be someone who:

Has an understanding of supporting adults with vulnerabilities.
- Works in a strength‑based way, promoting independence and dignity.
- Communicates with empathy, patience, and professionalism.
- Can stay calm, think clearly, and make sound decisions in emergencies.
- Enjoys working as part of a team and building strong relationships with partner services.
- Has experience in a customer‑focused role and takes pride in giving reassurance and support.
Driving Requirement

A full, valid UK Driving Licence is essential.
- You must be willing to undertake an RMBC driving assessment.
- You will be required to drive manual and automatic vehicles as part of the role.
