Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Electricians Mate to join our team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in electrical installation and maintenance projects. The successful candidate will work closely with qualified electricians, assisting with various tasks on-site across a range of domestic sites but primarily assisting Solar PV installations. Responsibilities
- Assist qualified electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively under supervision.
- Support in running cables, conduit, and wiring throughout sites.
- Help with the assembly of electrical components and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure safety standards are met.
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently during daily tasks.
- Carry out basic measurements and prepare materials as directed by senior team members.
- Support in troubleshooting electrical issues under supervision.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in electrical work.
- Previous electrical experience or relevant training is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is essential.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions carefully.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Physically fit, capable of working in various environments, including confined spaces or at heights if required.
- A valid UK driving licence is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to travel to different sites is necessary.
