Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our premises. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing essential cleaning services that contribute to the wellbeing and satisfaction of our clients. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces
- Maintain cleanliness of designated areas such as offices, communal spaces, and washrooms
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used efficiently and stored properly
- Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the supervisor promptly
- Adhere to scheduled cleaning routines and complete tasks within allocated timeframes
- Interact courteously with clients and colleagues, providing excellent customer service at all times
Skills
- Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good organisational skills to prioritise tasks effectively
- Customer service orientation with a friendly and professional attitude
- Driving licence is desirable for roles requiring travel between sites but not essential
