Job Title: Technical Assistant
Location: South Wales
Scope of the Role:
We have a fantastic opportunity for an individual to join our Technical Department in Wales. Reporting to the Technical and Compliance Manager, you will support the team in a fast-paced office environment, helping to ensure the delivery of safe, legal, and responsibly sourced consumer goods. This role is ideally suited to someone with a keen eye for detail who is looking to take their first step into a career in Quality Assurance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the QA Technologists in ensuring products are safe, legal, and responsibly sourced, escalating concerns/specific issues as required.
- Assist in creating and maintaining product technical files to include test reports, toy safety assessments, MSDS, product specifications, bill of materials, bill of substance, user instructions and UKCA/CE Conformity Declarations.
- Uploading technical specifications to customer compliance portals.
- Work alongside the Technical Administrator for UK manufacturing to provide admin support on key responsibilities.
- Contribute to various projects including packaging waste, driving our commitment to environmental sustainability by providing data collection and analysis.
Key Skills and Attributes:
- A team player with a willingness to learn.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Confident communicator, both verbal and written.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Adaptable and able to embrace change.
- Experience in a similar role/industry is desirable but not essential.
