SEN Teaching Assistant – Warrington
Excell Supply are currently recruiting for a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Warrington. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and helping them achieve their full potential.
The role involves working closely with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, providing tailored support both in and out of the classroom. Opportunities are available on a full-time, part-time, day-to-day, and long-term basis, with roles starting immediately and throughout the academic year.
The Role Includes:
- Supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
- Working one-to-one and with small groups to support learning and development
- Assisting the class teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Encouraging pupils' social, emotional, and academic progress
- Supporting behaviour management and promoting positive engagement
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN setting
- A patient, caring, and supportive approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
