Quality Inspector
Alken Systems Ltd is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our established team. We are an ISO 9001:2015 accredited subcontract manufacturing business situated in Birch Vale, Derbyshire; with an excellent reputation for quality, service, and on-time delivery.

Main duties
- Use Company measuring equipment with precision and accuracy to perform inspection and testing duties to ensure parts fulfil all customer size specifications and quality requirements.
- Carry out visual and mechanical measuring of surface finish to ensure parts fulfil all customer surface finish specifications and quality requirements.
- Carry out and record first-off checks, in-process checks and final quality checks.
Person Specification
- Experience of using manual measuring equipment; verniers; micrometers; DTI clocks; slip and feeler gauges; height gauges etc.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Able to carry out dimensional and visual inspection of fabrications and welding.
- Methodical and accurate in investigating and recording findings.

- Hours of work: Day Shift - Monday to Thursday 08.00-17.00, Friday 08.00-13.00.
Experience:
- Experience using portable or static CMM’s, such as FARO arm desirable.
- Demonstrate a good working knowledge of quality systems and processes (desirable ISO 9001:2015).
- Experience of using quality tools such as 8D, 5 Whys etc. desirable.
