The Driver - Bearer role is a vital part of that.
You’ll be involved in:
- Driving and presenting our Hearse and Limousine professionally and safely at funerals;
- Supporting our Funeral Directors and Practical Leads to ensure funerals run smoothly and according to plan;
- Bearing a coffin (lifting, carrying and lowering a coffin) to/from the hearse at the funeral service, and to the place of cremation/burial, as required;
- Helping to prepare vehicles, equipment and practical elements ahead of funerals;
- Cleaning and maintaining vehicles to a high standard;
- Carrying out ad-hoc practical duties and supporting Mortuary operations where needed, including assisting with deliveries and moving coffins;
- Working respectfully and compassionately around grieving families, colleagues and the people in our care;
- Assisting family, bearers and attendees on the day of the funeral where practical support is needed;
- Following company procedures and maintaining high standards of presentation, professionalism and compassion at all times.
No experience in funerals is needed as full training is provided and you’ll be supported by experienced team members.

You will need:
- A full UK driving licence and are confident driving larger vehicles.
- The right to work in the UK
- You are physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual tasks, including heavy lifting
