Our Purpose
This is an exciting management post within the shared service arrangement between North and North East Lincolnshire Councils. This post forms part of a team specifically responsible for management of the Benefits Team at both councils. This post is full time and permanent.
The Role
As Benefits Team Manger you will be responsible for managing the customer experience within their area of responsibility ensuring service delivery meets customer centric service provision. You will also be responsible for managing the provision of the front facing benefits service delivery providing support for staff and customers both in person, online and by telephone. Information and advice given will cover all aspects of the LT&B Service but mainly concentrate on housing benefits and council tax reduction.

We are looking to recruit a Benefit Tax Team Manager who will be responsible for leading a team which delivers Housing Benefit, Council Tax Support and discretionary assistance for both North and North East Lincolnshire Councils.
About You
Ideally candidates would have a sound knowledge of Benefit delivery and direct management experience and as we are continually striving to enhance the digital offer of our service our ideal candidate would have the experience of making the best use of technology to identify opportunities to enhance service provision. This is a challenging role which will stretch your communication, decision making, innovation and problem-solving skills.
The role is classed as agile so the postholder may work from home or from good quality well maintained offices located in either Grimsby or Scunthorpe but there is the expectation of some travel between North and North East Lincolnshire council sites.
