Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Bar and Waiting Staff to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver exceptional guest service in a dynamic environment. Candidates should possess a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. Previous experience in restaurant or bar settings is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring guest satisfaction, and supporting the smooth operation of the venue.
Responsibilities
- Taking orders from guests accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service throughout their visit
- Serving food and beverages in accordance with health and safety standards, including alcohol service where applicable
- Preparing and garnishing drinks, ensuring quality and presentation meet company standards
- Maintaining cleanliness of the bar and dining areas, including clearing tables and sanitising surfaces
- Assisting with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Upselling menu items to maximise sales opportunities while enhancing guest experience
- Managing cash transactions accurately and handling payments securely
- Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies
- Providing excellent guest services by addressing enquiries promptly and courteously
- Supporting team members to ensure efficient service delivery during busy periods
Skills
- Prior experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper serving techniques
- Ability to prepare simple food items and assist with basic food preparation tasks
- Good organisational skills with effective time management to handle multiple tables efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Experience or familiarity with kitchen operations or culinary practices is a plus
- Ability to upsell menu items tactfully to enhance guest experience and increase sales potential
