Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development
- Supervise children during play, meal times, and rest periods to ensure their safety and well-being
- Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages curiosity and independence in young children
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective programmes aligned with early childhood education standards
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and childcare policies
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and childcare practices
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when necessary
- Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are preferred
- Organised, patient, caring, and committed to supporting children's development
