Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional on-site support and maintenance for our range of equipment and systems. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently in various environments. The Field Service Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through timely service and effective solutions.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair equipment at customer sites, ensuring optimal performance.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to minimise downtime.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, providing effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.
- Document all service activities accurately in reports for internal records.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to improve product designs based on field feedback.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar role is advantageous.
- Strong technical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with customers.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently while adhering to deadlines.
- A valid driving licence is required for travel to various sites.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations is desirable.
