Job Overview

Duties
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, adhering to all road safety and traffic regulations
- Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently, ensuring on-time arrivals and pickups
- Secure loads properly on flatbed trailers, ensuring cargo integrity during transit
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues promptly
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery logs and vehicle checklists
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with clients and warehouse staff
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with delivery driver background
- Knowledge securing cargo safely during transit
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and compliance standards
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo
- Excellent navigation skills and the ability to follow detailed route instructions
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed
