Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting the head chef in delivering an exceptional dining experience. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and presentation standards
- Assist in the organisation and supervision of kitchen operations during service periods
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to at all times
- Oversee the proper storage and handling of ingredients to minimise waste and maximise freshness
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen workflow and timely delivery of orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Support in training junior kitchen staff and apprentices as required
- Contribute to menu development ideas, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Demonstrable culinary experience with a focus on meal preparation and presentation
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment is highly desirable
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting
- Formal culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are advantageous but not essential
