Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations. Prior experience as a pharmacy dispenser is required, along with a strong understanding of medication administration and patient care practices. Please note we do not provide sponsorship, all applicants must have a minimum of 12 months experience in the UK.
Duties
- Accurately dispense prescribed medications in accordance with doctor’s instructions and pharmacy protocols
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and organising medication orders
- Provide clear instructions to patients regarding medication usage and potential side effects
- Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and inventory levels
- Support patients with general enquiries, offering compassionate and professional assistance
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the pharmacy setting
- Assist with stock management, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceutical supplies
Requirements
- Proven experience as a pharmacy technician or dispenser is essential.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- A recognised qualification in pharmacy services or related field is required
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations
- Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, as such a good command of English is essential.
