Overview
We are seeking 2 part time dedicated and experienced Sous Chefs to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of food quality.
- Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, including cooks and food preparation assistants, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and presentation requirements.
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, maintaining consistency in taste and appearance.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen areas.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen efficiency.
- Support training programmes for new staff members and provide ongoing coaching to enhance skills.
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen or restaurant setting.
- Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
- Excellent team working abilities and be able to work alone
- Deep understanding of food safety protocols and hygiene standards in hospitality environments.
- Extensive kitchen experience, including culinary expertise across diverse cuisines.
- Ability to organise workload efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and management.
Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving procedures, and customer service principles.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.77-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
