A vacancy has arisen for an experienced Senior Care Assistant (Nights) in caring for the elderly in our small and friendly care home:
Role:
- To oversee / maintain the care of all Service Users and achieve high standards in care in a professional manner
- To effectively supervise care staff, in conjunction with the Manager
- To delegate tasks, supervise and monitor care practice of all junior Staff
- To promote best practice in all aspects of care delivery
Required:
- NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care or working towards obtaining it
- Previous supervisory experience
- Keen eye to detail
- Always act with integrity and understand the importance of confidentiality
- Genuine interest and experience of working with the elderly
- Ability to communicate effectively with Service Users, Relatives and all grades of Staff in spoken and written English
Desired:
- Previous experience and knowledge of working with people with dementia would be advantageous for this role
- To have the ability to work effectively within a Team environment
- Experience in medication administration and auditing of medication
- A clean Driving Licence
Hours consist of 24-36 hrs p/w with share of weekend cover and paid breaks.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 – 36.0 per week
