Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Architect to join our dynamic design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing innovative architectural concepts, preparing detailed drawings, and overseeing project execution from inception to completion. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects and collaborate with clients and contractors. The Architect will play a pivotal role in ensuring designs meet aesthetic, functional, and regulatory standards while adhering to project budgets and timelines.
Duties
- Develop conceptual designs and detailed architectural drawings using software.
- Prepare comprehensive presentation materials to effectively communicate design ideas.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors through negotiation to ensure project specifications are met and expectations are aligned.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, verify compliance with design specifications, and resolve on-site challenges promptly.
- Assist in the selection of materials and finishes that align with project aesthetics and sustainability goals.
- Ensure all designs adhere to relevant building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in architecture or construction-related roles with a strong portfolio demonstrating diverse projects.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software including AutoCAD, Draftsight, SketchUp, and Enscape.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, suppliers, and contractors effectively.
- Strong project management capabilities with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- A recognised architectural qualification or equivalent professional experience in architecture or related fields is required.
- circa 10 years construction related experience.

Projects undertaken
The types of projects undertaken range from small domestic extensions and alterations to individual executive house designs as well as larger projects for small new build (single storey and multi-storey) residential developments ranging from 1 up to 40 dwellings which are also undertaken on a regular basis.
