Receptionist Team Leader
Salary: £29,000 to £32,000 per annum depending on experience, plus company benefits
Location: Edinburgh, EH3 8EJ (with the possibility of covering the Perth and Glasgow offices when needed)
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Shifts: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, rotational shifts between the business hours of 8am and 5:30pm with 1 hours unpaid lunch break

Purpose of role
As Reception Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our corporate reception service – a critical part of the client and colleague experience. You’ll lead a team of 3 receptionists, setting high standards, implementing best practices, and ensuring seamless, five-star service at every touchpoint.
This is an opportunity for an experienced front-of-house professional who thrives in a corporate environment and knows how to lead from the front with professionalism, polish, and presence.
Key responsibilities

Provide confident day-to-day leadership to the reception team, ensuring professional, courteous, and efficient service at all times.

Take ownership of the reception service line — developing procedures, setting standards, and ensuring consistency across the board. Improving client care and help to maintain relationships with key clients, promoting loyalty and long term engagement.

Act as the main point of contact for VIP guests, clients, and senior stakeholders, handling all queries with discretion and efficiency.

Have ownership of the management and execution of onsite office events, with the aim to create synergy with the Marketing team.

To provide cover for Perth and Glasgow offices, and if required, take the lead in providing absence cover in the Perth and Glasgow offices, working in Partnership with the other onsite team leaders.

Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.

Collaborate with facilities, security, and other business support teams to ensure the smooth running of all front of house operations.

Monitor team performance, manage rotas and cover, and support training and development.

Ensure all First Impression services, at each office, are achieving the baseline standard of service and seeking out opportunities to improve the environmental sustainability of the service - routinely reviewing hospitality, suppliers and products.

Review technology/software used in the service area and benchmark to see if efficiencies can be made.

Proven experience leading a corporate or professional services reception team — you’ve set standards, built teams, and delivered exceptional service.

Strong operational experience managing or owning a service line — you’re confident balancing people leadership with service delivery.

A natural communicator with presence and polish — someone who can build relationships at all levels, from clients to C-suite.

Professional, proactive, and solutions-focused — calm under pressure and always one step ahead.
