Riggotts is a long-established national provider of specialist line marking and associated surface preparation services, operating across the UK for large, multi-site, compliance-led organisations including major retailers, logistics and distribution operators, car park operators and facilities management companies. Part of the Tennants Roads & Construction Group, Riggotts operates alongside businesses in road lining, bitumen supply and building products across the UK and Ireland, employing c.65 people with a fleet of over 35 vehicles and specialist application equipment, and delivering sustainable growth through professionalism, accreditation, reliability and long-term customer relationships.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Estimator to join our team at Riggotts. Riggotts is a long-established Road marking company who have operated nationwide and outside the UK when required for over 30 years specialising in off Highway Contracts. We have great ambitions for the future and want to continue our growth.
As an Estimator, you will play a key role and will have worked in a similar industry with experience of working on Highways and Infrastructure or maintenance Projects, estimating costs, and providing accurate and competitive bids. Your experience in cost control and project estimation will be essential in ensuring the success of our projects.
In addition, seeking out new business, customers and contacts will be part of the role (approx. 20%) as we look to grow our portfolio of partners and win new business.
Duties:
· Be an integral part of the team.
· Analysing of tender enquiry documents and be proactive in your approach
· Drafting Bill Of Quantities from Spec and drawings where necessary, using our IMS system
· Negotiation on pricing and managing the ongoing projects.
· The ability to work independently, preparing quotes to tight deadlines.
· Connecting with potential new customers in person, virtually and on the telephone
· Attending trade shows and customer visits, communicating the services Riggotts offer
· Good communication and presentation skills
Experience:
· Minimum of 3 years of experience as an estimator in similar industry
· Proven track record of successfully estimating projects of varying sizes and complexities.
· Expertise in cost control strategies and techniques
· Excellent mathematical skills with the ability to perform complex calculations accurately.
· Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
· Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
