Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Officer to safeguard our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance and incident prevention. Duties
- Monitor surveillance cameras (CCTV) to observe activity across the site and identify potential security breaches or suspicious behaviour.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure safety protocols are being followed and to deter unauthorised access.
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing and addressing theft or vandalism attempts.
- Respond promptly to security incidents, including alarms or disturbances, and escalate issues as necessary.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks for record-keeping purposes.
- Provide assistance during emergencies, including administering first aid when required, until professional medical help arrives.
- Enforce access control procedures by verifying identification and issuing visitor passes.
- Collaborate with management and law enforcement agencies during investigations or security audits.
Skills
- Proven experience in surveillance operations, including CCTV monitoring.
- Strong understanding of loss prevention techniques and security protocols.
- Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations, including administering first aid if necessary.
- Good communication skills for liaising with staff, visitors, and emergency services.
- Organised with the ability to maintain accurate incident reports and logs.

Pay: £12.21-£14.28 per hour
