Volunteer Health Coach – APNA Living Well Programme (Bradford)
Support the South Asian Communities to Live Healthier Lives
Are you passionate about health and wellbeing? Do you want to make a difference in your local South Asian community? Join us as a Volunteer Health Coach for the APNA Living Well programme – a culturally tailored 12-week lifestyle initiative supporting the South Asian community in Bradford
What You’ll Do:
- Lead or support engaging weekly sessions on healthy eating, physical activity, and behaviour change
- Encourage and motivate participants to adopt healthier habits
- Take basic health measurements (e.g. weight, blood pressure – training provided)
- Help ensure sessions run smoothly and safely in local venues
- Work collaboratively with other volunteers and project leads
We’re Looking For Volunteers Who:
- Represent South Asian communities
- Has a basic understanding of nutrition
- Understand traditional diets and cultures
What You’ll Get:
- Full training, including recognised certificates
- Travel expenses covered
- Ongoing support and supervision
- A Certificate of Leadership upon completion
- Help to explore employment in health coaching (if desired)
- Recognition through our Volunteer of the Quarter awards
