Berkhampstead School is seeking to appoint a part-time cleaner - 20 hours a week (term-time only), Monday to Friday, 1:30pm to 5:30pm
Salary: £10,383, hourly rate of £13.11

The School Cleaner’s principal responsibilities include:
· Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across all school areas, including classrooms, communal spaces, toilets, and offices.
· Work collaboratively with the estates team to respond to cleaning needs and report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
· Support a safe and healthy environment for pupils, staff, and visitors by following cleaning protocols and health and safety procedures.
· Contribute to the smooth running of the school by ensuring cleanliness before, during, and after school events and term periods.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across the school premises:
· Clean and sanitise all areas as per daily/weekly cleaning schedules.
· Dust, vacuum, mop, clean, and polish surfaces and floors in accordance with cleaning schedules.
· Replenish supplies such as soap, hand towels, and toilet paper.
· Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and hygienically.
