Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Function & Bar Supervisor to oversee the smooth operation of our event functions and bar services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive experience in food and beverage service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The successful applicant will play a vital role in managing daily operations, supporting team development, and delivering memorable occasions for our guests.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation during functions and bar service
- Lead and manage a team of servers, bartenders, to ensure efficient service delivery
- Oversee food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations and standards
- Monitor service quality, guest satisfaction, and handle any issues promptly and professionally
- Organise staffing schedules for events to ensure adequate coverage at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, and function spaces
- Support the planning and execution of special events,
- Train new team members on service standards, safety procedures, and operational protocols
- Collaborate with management to optimise operational efficiency and guest experience
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff under pressure
- Extensive restaurant experience with knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Experience in serving guests in a hospitality setting, including barista or bar service experience
- Knowledge of food production processes within hotels or similar establishments is advantageous
- Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills
- Familiarity with health & safety regulations relevant to food handling and beverage service
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential
