Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the cleanliness of the work environment. Previous experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided to support your development in this dynamic role.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other relevant equipment efficiently
- Take customer orders accurately and process payments promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations and dining areas
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including light snacks or baked goods
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers in a friendly manner
- Manage multiple orders efficiently during busy periods using effective time management skills
Skills
- EESENTIAL - Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar serving role
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to handle food preparation tasks with attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during peak hours
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour to enhance customer experience
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of service
